The North Face built the Recon Backpack with the technical proficiency for alpine adventures and the versatility for urban assaults on the same day. Roll the style of a city-ready pack with a climber's or skier's technical pack and the result would probably look a lot like the Recon, complete with burly ballistic nylon and the attitude of alpine gear that knows it's so good it doesn't need to brag.
